WIGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted on July 16, 2009 at 1:28pm 4 Comments

Why are wigs so freakin expensive?? I went today to have a consultation for a new wig (my first). Of course I want one that looks natural... Long story short, I found one that I want, of course it is the most expensive one and has to be custom made!!!! So, now I have to figure out how I'm going to come up with $3000 for my hair!!!!! Oh I wish money grew on trees!!

Hey beth! you and ur husband look sooo sweet! congrats on the wedding. I was wondering; did u look at lace front wigs? I hear the front hairline looks really natural. I am tryin to look for a wig that has a realistic hairline and part. I don't want one that looks to tight and full. Any ideas?

Hi Beth,

I'm adjusting much better than I thought I would, I think it's because I really like my wig. I'm just trying to figure out how to blowdry it as well as the person who cut it originally, guess it will take practice. How are you getting on?

Hey Beth! I'm good how are you? I am wearing my wig in the profile picture but have my own natural hair from the front pulled out from underneath so I can put it back like that. It's a human hair with mono top machine made. I'm actually waiting for a new one that is longer and due to some thinning in the front will most likely cut a side bang to make it look more natural. Are you wearing a wig in your profile pic? If so it looks great.

Congrats on your marriage! It takes a strong partner to support us through this process. I feel fortunate to have that type of relationship with my boyfriend too.

Hi there. My wig is a mono cap with European hair. I attach it with a comb along the hair line and two clips above my ears. If I want it really secure I use double sided tape at the nape. That stops it from bunching up. Thing is, I have a tiny head and the seamstress had to cut quite a lot off to fit it and I wonder if that is why I feel seams. I am just wondering if I had a wig made to my specifications would it be smooth all around?

Beth,
Please tell my about your wig. I read that it is custom. Does it have "lumps" anywhere, like at the nape? Since mine looks so real people have been touching my head and I am so worried they will feel the seams! How do you attach it? It's beautiful on you.
Happy New Year!!!

Hey,
Hope you enjoyed Christmas, can't believe it's almost New Year already....So I haven't even had my wig for a week yet & I love it. Thought it would take a while to get used to. It's alittle longer than I had wanted but I kinda like the length now & I can always cut it later. How are things with you?
Jules
