I love the feeling of being bald, and being free to be different. Kids in my high school still stare but are getting use to my change. I like that attention, im alittle nobody so its alittle bit nice.
But I see girls doing a lot of things with their hair, stuff i never could do before, or can't do now (obbiously). I get so jealous.
This whole i shaved my head but im also losing it deal has its ups and downs. I'm having mixed feelings. :/ oooh boy..

This just sucks

My family isn't helping that much. and my grades are dropping and they keep yelling at me! it just makes me feel more worst!

My mom is not healthy and just lays on the couch all day, while my day hides at work. My mom owns 4 cats and loves them more then me. My dad just keeps yelling at me and telling me how bad i am.

I am the youngest out of three girls, both my sisters did drugs had sex and drank.

I'm still a virgin i never used drugs to make me feel happy and i never party…

Yeah I live in California and there is never any snow there. Although right now I'm visiting relatives in Illinois...still no snow though :(

haha yeah I think most people can agree that high school sucks! Such a wierd time. Good luck! If you work hard to save money I'm sure you will be able to move out when you are old enough. I have a few friends who did that and it helped them to live away from their families. I felt like that sometimes. I couldn't wait to get away from my over protective mom lol. I'm moving soon and now I'm kind of sad about it though. How is your winter break going?

I'm doing well. I just got off for winter break so I'm happy about that, but I've been really nervous because I'm going away to boston in January for college. Are you in high-school?

Alex I just lost my left eyebrow and eyelashes. I am sorry you are feeling down keep going to school alopecia in time you will deal with it life will continue remember to love yourself. Things will get easier in life you got to roll with the punches. Remember that when you are older you can move out if things don't get better.

Hi Alex- Thanks for joining the Wisconsin group. I'm impressed with the fact that you know what is not good; you're able to differentiate and make your own choices. It's hard to run away from these things when they comprise your home and family but one way to escape is to elevate yourself above the situation. This means going to the library and concentrating on your school studies. Education is the door to a different and better life. If you show interest in some of your subjects, your teachers will take more interest in you.

Your father, like you, seems frustrated with the whole situation and is venting his anger at you and the rest of the family. I'd try to see a school counselor before the grades continue to worsen; contacts outside of the family should help alleviate some of the burden of the present circumstances. Anyway, we're hear to listen and hope things improve soon.

Welcome to Alopecia World, Alex. I recently created a Wisconsin group (found under the groups tab) and would love to have you join. I will be contacting other people in our state during the next couple of months. ((Hugs)) Susan from the Madison area.
