Well "summer" is over. My daughter was home schooled last year. She thinks she is ready to go back to elementary school.

We live in a time when openness or "coming out" is accepted. This summer she gained a great deal of confidence. Going to public places without a hat or wig. My daughter is wearing hats to school. We found out she has AA about 2 months ago, almost all of her hair is gone.

I just had a read through your profile after reading your reply to 'do nothing approach'.

Have you contacted Jeff Woyovitch - he runs a wonderful organisation named CAP (Children's alopecia project). They have some wonderful get togethers that you and your daughter may like to become part of.

I also have a daughter with alopecia even though she is a little older than your daughter now (she's 20), she was 12 when first diagnosed. Do your best not to beat yourself up about her alopecia, as far as I can see you are doing a fab job and have a great attitude.

Take care
