Kemah Texas 25

Don't know what form I have but my left eye brow is basically gone and noticing its moving to my right brow. Patches on my beard and a big circle on my chin. I'm tired people asking if I shaved it because I lost a bet. I'm tired of my patched face being the first thing people see. I'm tired of not getting normal and getting double looks and stares. I just want to relate to people and get strength from them.

Hi, looking for a support group in H-town area...

  • Moved here a while ago, and pretty much hiding all of this all of the time. Dating sucks. Making friends is hard, they're always trying to ask me about my hair. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much for that recommendation Stacy Geddie. I plan to check them out this weekend. their website looks great. What kind of scarfs, and hats do you where? Looking for ideas.

Hi Penelope.

I have gotten several wigs at Abba Wigs in Austin.  Personally, it's too hot in the summer to wear a wig, so I either wear a hat or scarf.  I started with AA moved into AT and now am AU. No hair, nowhere. It has taken me a LONG time to become comfortable in my baldness and go out with no hair.  However, the more I have done it the more confident I feel.

Im new to Alopecia, and new to Texas. I was diagnosed with Alopecia Totalis, and Telegenic effluvium. My hair started falling out in early April, and hasn't stopped. I was able to get away with heads scarfs until this past week, now I think it's time for a wig.
