Linda, I am going through the same thing. I have never wore makeup before but a little eyeliner here & now. Since I have developed AU, I am trying to master drawing my eyebrows on and drawing a straight line on my eyelids. I am shiny as well. I constantly blot my face throughout the day.

I live 25 mins from DC and YES it is extremely cold here. Have fun at all the festivities that will be going on this weekend thru Monday!!! Remember to take lots of pics. This is History.

Nicole it took many days of going to the mirror and putting both my hands up to my hairline to see what I would look like bald. Many, many times! I had never worn makeup before so I looked kinda bald~faced without hair. The fact that my eyebrows were very thin and one thicker than the other became very evident. My thin lashes were evident also, this scared me a bit. I had to learn to put on "eyes" and "lips", that's as far as I'll go. I'm working on the shine, I'm a shiny person...I think, lol. But like I said, I am, because we are!

You know Vicsta what I think my husband sees when he looks at me???? My cooking....LOL... Just kidding.....He actually has offered to shave his head too but I won't let him because he would look horrid....I want one of us to look normal! LOL....That is the last thing I want my husband to do is to shave his head for me. It is a nice gesture but keep your hair and buy me lots of diamonds instead!

I have a "witches bump" on my nose! Years ago I had wicked nose bleeds so I went to this one doc to have my nose cauterized....Well turns out the guys was later to become one of the big cosmetic surgeons in Ottawa. He found out I was having Jaw surgery and decided he would try to see me a "face job"...Well holy cow....He told me I had a witches bump. I never really worried about my nose before but boy oh boy did he freak me out....He would have done cheek implants as well. What is wrong with my cheeks! LOL....This was 20 years ago. I didn't fall for it either.

But now I am thinking hmmmmm let's fix the face as it is going to be right out there now! Well not the cheek implants! With my luck those things will drop to my ankles! But a nose job and maybe tighten up the eyes....Hmmmmm...Things that make you go hmmmm....LOL

Hey Nicole, that's precious, you and Vicsta have special bf, they shaved your heads, I think that is one of the ultimate acts of unconditional love...

My fiance shaved my head 3 years ago when I could no longer cover up the bald spots. I was do depressed and in tears. Now that I have AU, I am trying to face the fact that my hair may never return and I want to have the courage and confidence to go bald instead of wearing a wig 24/7. Linda you are beautiful bald. Please send me some of your confidence... :-)

LOL Linda!! I look like a hobbit... just need some hairy feet!! It'd be boring if we all looked the same.

LOL, Lori that's funny, I have the biggest "hawk" nose ever. That was one of my worries when I shaved, how my "pointy witch nose" would look. My children convinced me that I would be fine. I am. But I still walk past mirrors and do a double take, lol, and sometimes say, "give me those red slippers, Dorothy", hahahahahahaha!

Lori you won't look like a buzzard LOL!! You have a very nice face and I can imagine that it would really show your features even more if you were bald. I do think that we focus in on the individual things, whereas, when a stranger or even friend or family member is looking at us, they are rarely looking at one individual feature on the face... more like the whole overall apperance.

You look gorgeous bald.... I am worried I will look like a buzzard! I think my nose will be really obvious now! How much does a nose job go for now a days? LOL
