I am so frickin' angry! Every time I suggest a medicatin to help with my seb derm or other issues, my doctor sends me to my psychiatrist to make sure that I can handle any possible depression that could be a POSSIBLE side effect... My psychiatrist is NOT my dad. I am 31 years old and even though I have MENTAL ILLNESS I can still make my OWN decisions on my medications... What medicine does NOT come with the risk of depression these days? Drug companies HAVE to put that on as a side effect to cover their asses! I'm pissed off...can you tell?

They deleted it? I find that kind of irresponsible and selfish on the behalf of the moderators considering the content of what you blogged about, by deleting it, it could have been the straw that broke the camels back.

And as for the negative feedback, people don't have to read it so don't feel awful about offending anybody, the purpose of this site is for support and not burying your head in the sand.

But at least we have this group now, clearly titled that we are all nut nuts lol.

We will get through this, not alone but together xXx

Thank you everyone for your kindness and acceptance!

I had posted a blog on the main site one night when I was suicidal and needed help. If you remember, my blog got both positive and negative feedback and it was deleted somehow. I was pretty hurt and felt awful that people were offended by me sharing how I felt. I haven't posted anything since then...

I hope that this site is open-minded and that we can post how we are TRULY feeling. If something someone writes upsets you, just let them nicely know. I think that mental illness is a subject that needs a voice and Tommy is giving us that voice.

I hope that we are all able to help each other on issues other than alopecia. Thank you all again for your kindness!

I also have self harm behaviors like cutting my wrists and have suicidal thoughts too. Just thought I would add that since others were brave enough to do so as well... You aren't alone!

I noticed others were sharing a little about themselves so I thought I would give it a go!

I have had self defeating and self hatred thoughts since the age of 6. I will be 31 on May 17th so I have been a prisoner for a long time!

I have a whole bunch of issues that started before the hair loss and scalp pain. I have depression, anxiety, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, seperation anxiety, OCD, PTSD, avoidance personality disorder and have had eating disorders for 18 years.

I know that's a lot but if you knew me you wouldn't think I had a care in the world. If you REALLY knew me (and few do) then you would see all my insecurities. I hide them well with years of practice...

I do see a therapist and psychiatrist and have been inpatient many times for the eating. I have a great family that helps a lot...

I am happy more people joined and am thankful to Tommy for starting such an important group. I don't feel accepted by anyone but I hope to be accepted here. Thanks!
