I just found out a few weeks ago I have Hashimoto. You should also have your ferritan level checked. You need your number to be at 70 or above to maintain and grow hair. I'm taking iron, but my hair is still falling out daily. I take levothyroxine 75 mcg every morning.

I was diagnosed w/ Hashimoto Thyroiditis in '93, after serving in Saudi Arabia/Iraq during Desert Storm. I had the right side of my thyroid removed in 2001 (there was cold nodule on the scan). I am currently taking 137 mcg of Synthroid in the morning and 75mcg of Synthroid in the evening.

hey Jessica,

what's the medication that you have to take everyday? And how much do you take?
