Hello, everyone. I'm a new group member who has been lurking and learning tons for the past few weeks. Thank you for the straight scoop on this vexing condition.

I'll share my story in a separate post. I'm just very curious to know if any of you have these symptoms:

1) The loss of many hairs no longer than 3 or 4 millimeters, when you shake or scratch your head. At times, it's like being inside a snow globe, with hundred of these little hairs floating around. (For optimum effect, stand in a sunbeam and rock out to vigorous head bobbing tunes.) The hair appears to come from all parts of my scalp.

2) Inflamed itchy bumps up that can be as large as a quarter. They have appeared on a parts of my scalp except the front and preceded noticable hair loss by a year. 

3) Changes in hair color.
