My niece was diagnosed w/ wheat allergies and dairy products. She developed AU 7 years ago, but has had no success with regrowth. I don't know if I am allergic to anything. This bout of hairloss for me is slower than last time and just looks like I have male pattern baldness at an accelerated rate. I am wondering if the hair loss could be related to supplements I was taking 7 years ago- glutamine and glucosamine this time around.

Angela, how did you know? I suffered from an extreme number of allergies starting in childhood. Great idea for a group!

I have multiple allergies, I am convince the alopecia and all my allergies are related somehow along with hormones.

It is easier sometimes to list what I am not allergice to but I will give it a try.

I am allergic to all the grasses, the trees, mold, mildew, perfume, tobacco smoke, detergents, deordorants, dust, dogs, bleach etc. I can not use hand lotions most of the time, I can not wear jewelry, unless it is real gold, all the gold plated, nickel, hypo stuff, causes a rash. I get rashes from nearly anything and everything. When I am around things in my environment that are inhaled, even fumes from nearly everything it can cause my throat to close as in an asthma attack except on severe times I can be in bed wheezing for several weeks until I am able to be up and around without coughing so hard as to nearly black out.

This pretty much the tip of the iceberg when it comes to allergies. My allergies run to things inhaled to thing coming in contact with my skin and all the problems caused.
