Beth,
If you have just been diagnosed I would recommend that you ask folks who live near you. I have been to Mitch Singer in Schenectady. He knows a lot but he also is honest about the fact that most of us patients are more up to date than the doctors. I once went to NY City to see one of the leading guys and you know what he told me - "you have alopecia" I aw shocked. I wanted him to tell me about wonderful treatments etc. On that day I realized that the best medicine or ideas of treatment I can find on the NAAF web site adn then can go to any local derm adn talk to them about the various options. don't think they are going to help you or know more than you do. I have had this for 65 years and have been through it all.

I agree with you Beth, I hate to be negative, but every time I see my dermatologist I ask her if there is anything new on the alopecia front and she always says "nothing". I've had this for 52 years and have learned to live with it, not like it, but live with it.

Orentriech Medical Group in Manhatten, You can google them to find out more info.
