Hey everyone, I was diagnosed with alopecia aerta when I was 4. Its sometimes hard to go through with it but I try and stay strong as much as I can. I have to wear a wig right now and I wont go out of the house without it because I don't like what I look like. It is hard sometimes but we have to live with what god gave us.

Hi Everyone! I will be facilitating this art research workshop at the 2012 NAAF conference. I am so excited for this session! This workshop will be a few questionnaires and include a fun art activity. It will be a great way to meet others, get a little creative, and give back for further research to support the emotional needs of our community.

No professional art skills required!

If you are at the conference on Thursday and are a young adult please sign up! I think it will be a great introduction to meet people and get the ball rolling for a fantastic weekend! All the best and see you at the conference!

If interested message me and I will give you the information to get signed up!

Hi everyone! I was recently diagnosed with alopecia areata and have bald patches toward the front of my head that seem to be getting bigger everyday. I am just looking for support from others with the same condition. :)

Welcome, Gia- there's a whole lot of help here, someone will answer, I'm sure. Unfortunately, I can't be much help with your question, but I do know that the women on here have had a lot of good experience with certain wig makers.

Hi everyone, I am new to the site. I have bEen losing more and more hair and it seems like I get new patches every day. I am thinking I may be able to use hair extentions for now. Does anyone have experience with these? I don't know what I'm doing and the people at the store I went to weren't very helpful.

Great article John, I'm hoping maybe I might have found my connection. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 5 years now and we haven't even had a false hope. That lady said that there could be a link between some infertility disorders and alopecia. My alopecia doesn't bother me so much, I've come to accept it. But one thing I want to know is if I'll ever have kids and that article might help me get that much closer. Thanks John.

Dave, I'm an expert on a bald head man. I sized up your head and your going be a handsome/sexy bald headed man. I'm so glad my hubby have a bald head. I don't about the big fall Dave, because I had that tigling burning, put I didn't get the big fall out. I know how you feel about one morning... I run to the bathroom in the mornings, when I feel that tingle at night. I just bought me an eyebrow pencil yesterday. Converse with your wife, when is the best time to cut it off. I think it's it's more like when you just had enough and just reached that point. I'm not sure. but I have a small afro now, I reached that point twice already.
