Wristbands for AA awareness

Wondering..You know the 'Lance Armstrong' wrist bands..well, my question is...are there any of those same type wristbands out there for Alopecia? I would like to raise awareness, as well as funds for research, and thought it would be a great idea.

Diana that is a great idea. I can't believe i didn't think of it myself. We should do something like that. I will be first in line to buy. AND this would help raising founds in South-Africa for research and support.

Mine will have to be made of something permanent, I am afraid. No leather or plastic. My AT will be here until forever.

I was looking online a few days ago..the more you order, the cheaper they are...you can get them personalized, and have one or two colors (like a swirl) as well. Y'all bear with me..I have been sick for about a week, and haven't been able to look into it more. I looked up Awareness bracelets/or wristbands. You can have a logo put on them as well. 24 hour wristbands is one place I have been looking, but there are other sites as well. Check 'em out. Is there a dominant color, or logo for Aloepcia? I am new to this. Hopefully I find out more when I am feeling better. Let me know what y'all find too. I just don't know if there are any rules/regulations to raising money for this..my only concern is I don't want to get in trouble if you have to go through the proper channels to raise money, I want to do it right. Would be great to get the awareness out there, as well as to raise the funds for research. Maybe NAAF could tell me? Sorry, I hope this makes sense..just feeling crummy right now. Think I am gonna lay back down. Hugs to you all, and oh, yeah, almost forgot, I think I would LOVE a t-shirt too!

Dark Blue is the color for alopecia. Search Alopecia wristbands. You can also find T-shirts on www.cafepress.com, or they can make any type of t-shirt you want. Hope this helps a bit.

They could say "I love Baldies" or "No Hair, Who Cares?" I'll try to see if I can come up with anything better.

Hi Diane, hope you are feeling better. I did some looking on the net and yes the colour for Alopecia is Dark Blue. Thanks for getting us talking to find ways to create awareness.
