Wearing wigs in summer

Hi everyone. This will be my first summer needing to wear a wig. I am extremely anxious. I have read a open cap is better? Are they more uncomfortable? I have truly been through so much these last month's its awful. Then having the hair issue on top. Please I would like to know how you veterans deal with the heat
