Anyone else feel this way?  I have had alopecia since I was 11...I am now 37.  Long story short...started out at universalis...hair started to come back, but it was so baby fine that I had to continue wearing a wig.  I am sure that wear a wig had an effect on my hair that did grow...now I wear a freedom wig (which I do love), but I am sick and tired of shaving my head every day....I'm just tired...I am tired of having to deal with this...tired of having to wear a wig...tired of having to throw on a wig when my kids friends show up...just tired...I find myself longing for beautiful hair.  You would think after 20+ years of this I would be over it, but I am not.  UGH!!!  I just need to vent...no one else but all of you would understand.  Please don't get me wrong, my hubby is 100% supportive, but I hate to vent to him.  I am thinking of switching up to another type of wig to allow my hair to grow.  Any suggestions?  I love my freedom wig...don't know if I could part with it...

I would be glad to share the you different types of wig caps that are light and breath. Send me a friend request and I can send you pictures of these caps before hair is vented in so you can become more knowledge of what is out there. There are caps that are comfortable and will not effect hair going should that occur. Stay strong, "Happiness comes in proportion to Acceptance". Michael J Fox said this and I think it is true.

Hi could you send me details of your wig supplier please im so very tired of wasting money on expensive wigs that dont look good even follea!

I have no idea what a freedom wig is. I now haven't worn one in 14 yrs.

My spiritual teacher used to say,,put a tattoo on the back on your head, for others to judge you by,,,and live life. By the tattoo,,,deep down, I can tell myself they were enjoying the beautiful work and not looking at me at all. I thought she was crazy...13yrs later, I did it, and you know, I wonder why I didn't listen the first few years. It's still hard here and there, but easier. NO wig grabbing when someone knocks on the door, no woman in the isle at the grocery store asking me, why my hair shined, or the other remarks we face each day. I'm still shy, and every now and then I come across a difficult stage, cause that hiding feeling doesn't completely go away after all that time. I was 7 when I lost my hair, and put the wig away at 4o. I am now 54. Funny how at one point, I was told by a specialist in Toronto back in the 70's I was the only universalis girl in Northern Ontario....now we are many across the world

54 years of this, and an ex-husbabd who left due to my Alopecia. Trade ya.
