Hi there - I am a new member, I developed alopecia areata about eight months ago and about three months ago it progressed to universalis - so far I have lost 3/4 of my body hair and shaved the remains of my head hair and eyebrows - I have very few eyelashes left and am finding my eyes are stinging a bit. I wear glasses and am wondering if it is worthwhile getting prescription wrap around sports glasses and also looking for suggestions for the stinging

Dry eye can be a part of Alopecia. You might want to see an eye doctor and they will have ideas on how to rectify this. Your eyes are telling you something and you want to take care of that asap. My daughter was given Restasis. I would also suggest your internist give you an ANA test to see if there are any other Autoimmune issues. I had this all done when my daughter was losing her hair. I just wanted to be sure there was nothing else going on. Best regards.
