Hey Nikki... I agree with aimee on starting with a short cut. But if that doesnt work you can always join the rest of us and shave it all off. I have AA but I only have one spot in the back and a lot of thinning on top. I shaved my head 3 days after I was diagnosed because it was very depressing picking up big piles of my hair all over the house. Once I shaved I instantly felt free. It feels good to be bald and not have to worry about finding the next bald spot or that your old ones are getting bigger. But, this is totally your decision. Do you have any pics you could post?
i will post some pics in the nxt week bit they all will be i a bandana
Darling, you say it's still growing back so if I were you I would just wait & see what happens. xxx
when your hair falls out do you get regrowth right away in the same spot?
Hi Nikki, I think you should do whatever makes you most comfortable. Are you wearing a wig everyday now? If so, then cutting it short, or even shaving, might be a good option. I didn't shave, but I had just enough hair around the edges that allowed me to wear a hat without it being too obvious and then once my hair filled in I trimmed it up to a short cut. At some point, you will probably need to cut it shorter so the new growth (whoo hoo!) can blend in with the existing hair. Keep us posted! Good luck!
i ordered a wig and im just getting little spikes were my hair fell out about 3 weeks ago
