Hi

At this time I use the clippers to keep my head shaved. I have noticed after three to four days the hair that starts to regrow itches. At this time, the best solution has been to put shaving cream on my scalp and let it sit for five minutes then take it off with a warm wet wash towel. When I used a razor it was a nice clean look but it irriated the back of my neck. I had to stop using the razor.

It is challenging wearing the bald head, I just want it to look nice as possible and not to red with inflammation.

Anyone else dealing with this issue please comment.

This very reason is one of the reasons why I don't shave at all on my legs or armpits. I have been toying with going all bald on the head and have been getting more and more aggressive with the clippers. I went a lot in the back and sides, but have left some still on the top. I had kind of an itchy head anyway before any shaving. I'm sorry. On other spots on my body I really always get shaving irritation due to sensitive skin I guess and so I just don't shave those areas. I'm sorry. That's not really helpful to you, but I commisserate. :0)
Hi:

I love your "name". It is nice to have place we can let our sense of humor shine on this issue. I was talking with a friend this weekend who also mentioned she stopped shaving the armpits because of the itching. I have no problem in other areas so the scalp is a new experience. Thanks for relating.
What type of razor are you using? I don't like long stubble so I shave every 1-2 days. Takes about 15 min which is significantly less time than I used to spend with a hot comb or curling iron back in the day. **giggle**

I use a Headblade with the 3-blade cartridge. I avoid irritation on the back of my neck by never shaving against the grain in that area. Using an aftershave and exfoliating once per week also keeps irritation and bumps away.

I RARELY shave my underarms. It has to be a very special outfit for a very special occasion to go through that pain.
Hi Angie P.

I will try your advice. I was trying to shave 1x a week (every Tuesday) but I see by that time the bald spots are "more" noticeable. I still have little hair on the top, so when it is not braided I use the hot comb (it still smells the same). I think I will only wear my hair during the winter months-It is so hot in FL and I sweat from my head.
