i emailed the editor of seventeen magazine in hopes they could write an article promoting alopecia awareness.

i thought it would be a good idea for them to do that, rather than having a bunch of articles on how to style and color your hair.

do you think they will respond? or better yet actually write an article?

Well if they do respond, it will be a huge wake up call to all the girls worried about their looks. We should have more acceptance in this world about our differences in appearance. If an article were to ever hit teen magazines then awareness for alopecia would be massive. Great Idea!
i think its an amazing idea!! i defintley get frusterated when all of the new hair ideas, never work with my wig. a recent people magazine july 12, 2010 has an article on Kayla Martell, Miss Delaware, who also has alopecia. Its a very inspiring article! :)

So how it ended up with the editor? Did they respond? If they didn't this maybe because of their own budgeting issues or some narrow commercial forecasts, and not related to your work imho.
