Wondering if anyone can help answer a question. I began losing my hair in April of 2015 - started with a patch the size of a quarter and progressed to an area 8cm by 5.5 cm. That has filled in about 90% but I do still have two small areas that have not filled in. I developed 2 other spots after my initial bignore one - one is completely gone and the other 90%. I just found a new spot this weekend... but also noticing my head is sensitive and red in arwas. Is it possible I have scarring alopecia and not just alopecia or is it normal to have burning and redness with alopecia areata? Love to hear others experience.
