Well I am ready to ditch this Jon Renau Smart Lace human hair wig. I think it actually has alopecia areata. I have bald spots in the bang area. All that money down the drain. So I am ready to take the chance and order an online human hair wig. I have heard some great reviews from members and am ready to take the leap. I am so confused on the cap construction though. Anyone out there have the full lace cap or the thin skin perimier or the full thin skin cap? Not sure which one is best and most comfortable. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

Thanks for that. I have used it (or at least a matte acrylic sealer) on my of all my lace wigs to try to prevent shedding and I know what you mean about making them scratchy. I haven't used it on the thin skin so far because thee are no knots in the thin skin area. However, if it helps the PU area to stay soft I will start using it again.

Forgive me for sounding stupid but what is PU?

try it in a small area first, as with everything else in this business different manufacturers use different PU. I had never used it on PU either because I thought it would not change anything but found on some units it works well.

it's just an acronym for polyurethane

Hi BMG

I found that the blue liner support tape irritated me less than some of the others. My allergy developed after wearing a lace wig for years and once everything including just wearing the wig without tape around the house was a problem until the rash went away. It would then come back as soon as I had retaped the wig for more than a few hours. In the end I found that I could use the blue liner tape for the whole day but no longer. I was always concerned that the rash would return any time that I felt an itch along the hairline and the stress of that made things even worse. The thin skin perimeter has solved that problem all together.

I always order my wigs from China and getting the colour completely right can be a problem. If you are asking for colour mixtures or highlights there will always be variations, probably due to interpretation of the different workers making them. However if you go for the safe single colour it never looks as good. I have also found that the colour ring varies between one manufacturer and another so if you intend to make repeat orders its well worth buying one.
