hi i started losing my hair  AA nearly  3 years ago this march.it all grew back in nice and thick and full of body,i went on holiday last aug 2013  and took norisethine to stop my menstrual cycle, 4 week after my hair lost its density again and new patches appeared and hair coming out again. is it the tablet i took maybe?? Also just recently  i had some hormone tests done in dec 2013 and my prolactin was borderline just under, anyone know what this means? my menstrual cycle seems to be Erratic, weight gain and i carnt seem to shift it, gone up a cup size, loss of libido hair loss, i went to see a naturopath he said it is my thyroid,my tests with the endocrinology said normal range. This has been going on for nearly 3 years i know in my mind and body something is not right and something is causing this, i stupidly dieted nearly 3 year ago and lost a bit of weight, and stopped the contraceptive pill around the same time too,is this a coincidence maybe. could any one enlighten me maybe. it is so bloody frustrating with the docs and specialists, i could scream at them.xx

Hello. Is your weight gain mainly around the trunk of your body and your face and how is blood pressure and cholesterol? Are you tired and do you have muscle weakness plus difficulty with your sleep. I'm wondering whether your cortisol levels may be the culprit. Did your endocrinologist check your cortisol levels? The body is such a complicated machine for some people and yet for others, they go through life with not much more than a common cold. All i can say is listen to your body - not the doctors. They don't have all the answers and they don't seek to find them in many cases. Good luck

hi sue i would say around my trunk yes, my blood pressure apparently is fine and not sure about my cholesterol? i do get fatigued around lunchtime most days,i can just fall asleep without knowing. my sleep is fine when i go to bed, i had blood tests recently and my prolactin levels was on the low side?  i have to redo them in a couple of weeks time, i am not sure why it is low,and i don't understand much about it.
