Just wanted to share with the forum. I was checking out treatment options for alopecia as you do and came across a new study to evaluate the efficacy of fecal transplants in Alopecia Areata patients.

Thanks for this - I am super interested in this study, as any treatment that does not involve expensive drugs with lots of yucky side effects is hugely attractive!

Very interesting the medical commmunity has been using it for C.diff for awhile with much higher success rates than the medication. The main reason these treatments have not been getting huge amounts of attention is because the pharmaceutical companies can't make huge money like they can with pills. I have a feeling this trial will have great results and further support the connection between good gut bacteria and good health. Thanks for the link!

Thanks for sharing this, Berg - I'll be very interested to see the results.  Are you participating?

I am not participating. They did not respond to my email inquiry.

I'm also not in New York, so travel would be an issue.
