I have an appointment with a dermatologist Friday for my eyebrows & eyelashes that I'm fighting to keep. Do you know if they can help at all or is this appointment a waste of my time?? Don't care about the hair on my head, but can they do injections in the eyebrows???? Does anyone have any advice or experience on this???

My advice is to let it go. They will grow back if/when they want to; or not. I think it is beyond the control of current medical options. In my experience, no medical treatment worked - only counselling and support from other alopecians, close friends and family.

Purchase some silicone backed human hair eyebrows similar to your own, and use eyeliner to give your eyes some definition.
I prefer the shape of my stick-on eyebrows to my own ones now; I opted for permanent make-up (tattoo) eyeliner as I am not a 'make-up person' and hated the daily ritual of poking my eyes out =) I stick on my eyebrows with silicone based glue once a week, and take care not to wash over them when in the shower to keep the in good condition. They last me about 3 months, and cost around $50 a pair. I have some fake eyelashes too, but they annoy me, so I only wear them if going somewhere super-fancy and know that there will be photos!

I hope my experience helps you to accept that all is not lost even if your lashes and brows happen to be ;)
