I"m wondering if anyone has used Latisse?  My eyelashes have just begun to fall out and the dermatologist gave me a prescription.  Before I shell out the money I thought I would see if anyone has had any experience - good or bad.  Thanks so much!

I made a post about latisse (no responses though :( ) and I have to say, it has worked for me. I use it on my brows too. Yes it is expensive, but for me, it was the right choice, because my eyelashes have started to grow back in, and so are my eye brows.

It took about 3-4 weeks for me to notice changes, but afterwards, there was like a sprouting of a LOT of lovely lash and brow growth.

If you get latisse, I hope it works for you too :-)

Thanks!  Do you experience any side effects?  I hadn't even thought about using it on my eyebrows!

I think I am on my way to a diagnosis of universalis, but haven't gotten there yet.  So…I wonder if it will help me too.  I have dark hair (or did) and eyes, so what I have left is dark and I am terrible with eyeliner.  Thanks for your perspective.  It's very helpful for me to hear from others.

Hello.  I used to use Latisse when my alopecia was still areata rather than universalis (as it now is).  When I had alopecia areata, my eyelashes were thin and sparse, and I still needed to wear fake eyelashes.  After I started using Latisse, they regrew to the point where they became acceptable.  Latisse wasn't a miracle for me, but I'm sure it's what made the difference for me.  I don't think it would work for universalis, but I don't think it could hurt to try (I stopped using Latisse after my eyelashes fell out during the transition to universalis).  I never had any side effects from Latisse.

My daughter started Latisse 3 months before losing all her hair. She is 20 and we thought we were trying to insure her keeping her eyebrows and eye lashes. She is still using it but we are struggling getting it to fill in the gaps now. I think it will be determined by your body. Good luck.
Hello,
I tried it for a month, didn't do anything except made my eyes very sore. I have had AU now for 2 years. Plus it is very costly to buy. Good luck let us now how it works for you.

Mark.
Hi, i tried it for several months pn my eyebrows and it didn't work. I found it quite expensive. The side effects of getting it in your eyes as Mark experienced might be worth doing more research on. Check out cosmetictransformation.co in Peterborough. I had my eyebrows tattooed there and can't say enough positive things about the experience. Semi-permanent eyeliner is akso done. Let me know if youwant more information.
