Hello -

I've been AT for two years now. Last year, my eyebrows fell out, and just this month, ALL of my eyelashes fell out. I've really been struggling with losing my lashes, as they were quite nice up until now! I'm heartbroken, but more than that, I'm actually really struggling with how it feels not to have lashes. I noticed a few days ago how TIRED my eyes felt, because they are dry and probably having all sorts of debris getting in them now. I wear contacts, and I hate wearing glasses because they are uncomfortable and I can't see as well. (I'm a photographer, so I need to see)

I've literally tried 20 different pairs of fake eyelashes, but they are so uncomfortable. I've tried 10 different eyeliners, but they all wear off. I hate this so much.

Any advice would be appreciated!

If your eyebrows and eyelashes fell out, you have Universalis, which means your disease is an autoimmune one. Try to get on Xeljanz. My scalp, eyebrows and eyelashes are all growing back. For info on how to apply for FREE thru Xelsource, Pfizer's financial assistance program, look up my discussion called "From TOTALLY BALD to Regrowth in One Month."

Hi There!

I'm sorry to hear about your lashes, I'm in the same boat! I initially found most lashes to be too dramatic/heavy and the very application uncomfortable. The more subtle and light weight the lash the better! Through trial and error-this is what I do.

1) I use esquido's "light volume" lashes. The pair I like are called "Little Black Lash" and are made of natural mink fibers. A little pricey but they last around 6 months.

2) I found gel liners last longer than liquid or pencil. Specifically, Inglot's gel liner. It's actually hard to get off at night!

3) Invest in eyedrops. Even if you wear lashes 24/7 most people forget that their bottom lashes catch a lot of dust too! I use Visine.

Good Luck! :-)

My eyes were dry and itchy and my left eyelashes were falling out.  I went to my Ophthalmologist and he told me to use Refresh Liquigel Lubricant Eye Drops. I take Biotin and Zinc.  I also started to take Nature's Bounty Hair, Skin and Nail Vitamin and my eyelashes grew back in and my eyebrows are growing back in.  Hope this helps.  Also, you may want to google JAK Inhibitors seems promising for us Alopecians.

What kind of eyeliner do you use? For the top lid I always used liquid eye liner, I think my current one is by Revlon with a fine pointed tip. It stays on all day for me as long as you don't rub your eyes, hope this helped a little! :]

Hey, Magpie! I love Kiss "Look so natural" lashes. They are super lightweight and have tapered ends that look more like real lashes. My favorite style is called "Shy" because they aren't too long or thick. Check them out here:
