Hi Kabir

You have come to the right place for a little help.

What I would suggest you do is scroll the the 'Accepting and Coping' Category and see if the information there is helpful.

I'm sorry things are so difficult at the moment but I always feel people find there way and I believe you will as well.

Rosy

we have all been there kabir...
but the more u are depressed, the worse it could get...
stress is one of the triggers...
try and be more nonchalant abt it and maybe it could help...
so ditch the cap.. hold ur head up high and look the world in the eye...
its not a sureshot solution but could help...

Thanks a lot Rosie and Rahul :)

Kabir - I would suggest seeing a counselor or psychiatrist, if you are not already. I have dealt with Alopecia for 15 years. My depression and anxiety got REALLY bad when my husband left me for another women (with a gorgeous head of hair). I came REALLY close to hitting rock bottom. With the help of a counselor, I talked to a doctor and was put on an anxiety medicine. I can honestly say it saved my life.
I was VERY anti-medicine before all this. But imagine putting a lot of stress on a bone - eventually it will break. The same is true for the brain - my brain broke, if you will. It forgot how to produce the right amount of chemicals needed to keep me from feeling so incredibly awful, all the time. The medicine helps my brain produce the right amount of chemicals. Now I can deal with my Alopecia with a level head. I reached out and found a great support group and just recently joined this website. The help has been amazing in such a short amount of time!
What works for one person might not work for you, I understand that. But please consider seeking help for your depression as soon as possible. Good luck :-)
