I had an appointment today with my dermatologist, for the first time in a few years. He suggested that I try this dcpc treatment. I've tried to read up on it and read a few discussions on here and honestly it has me very confused. Some people have had great success with it, others hate it. One site said it's rarely successful in Peale who have had alopecia for longer than 10 years. Well I'm going on over 20 years so should I even waste my time and money on this? I was really excited by all the positivity in the room when I saw the Dr, and now I'm just not sure. I'm just sick of disappointment. But I'm also sick of needles and jabs...

Hi Davis,

I really wouldn't bother with topical immunotherapy at this time. It's painful , very uncomfortable and is a large commitment with weekly visits. JAK inhibitors are proving far more effective.

I see you are from Canada and Xeljanz is approved there and is much cheaper than the US.  That would be my first port of call .
