How and when do you reveal your alopecia status to a person you are dating or a partner?

I was just wondering for those alopecians who disguise their hairloss, when and how do you reveal your hairloss to that someone special to you?

Hi, Deneene. Here's a lengthy discussion of this issue that you might find helpful.
I've done it on day one or even before meeting in person if meeting from a dating site or through friends etc...like the first time you talk on the phone with someone if you talk for a while before meeting....I've sent pics by email, instant messenger and phone to some who asked for them even before meeting...I have not always had positive results but I feel that you get the most honest results from telling a perspective date about alopecia right up front...If they are a superficial person, it's good to know that right away so in my opinion it's the best way to go about this.....

Best Wishes,
Robert
When I was first dating my husband, my AA was pretty much under control, only a few spots here and there. One night, about three weeks in, he tried to run his fingers throuh my hair, and I told him I did not like to have my head touched. Being the nosey person he is, he kept asking why, why don't you like people touching your hair. Finally, I said, because I have Alopecia! I then had to explain what Alopecia is and he said, Oh, OK. Now, I have to wear a wig and the other night he helped my shave my head. We have been together for 4 years now.
