I noticed 3 years ago my facial hair was not growing as thick as it usually dues with the follicles much thinner in general but it has generally stayed the same for the past three years, nothing else was affected during this time. This changed however 9 months ago when I noticed hair at the nape of my neck was thinning in addition to armpit/pubic hair, eyebrow hair, and recently leg hair. I went to two dermatologists who said it is definitely not alopecia areata/universalis but that there was not much they could do for it. They did not run any tests on it to determine the cause. My question is judging by my picture does it look like it would be alopecia or could they be right in their judgement? I am just not sure if I need a third opinion and what tests to run to test for alopecia, any advice would be appreciated, thank you in advance.
