This is my second hairpiece, just got it last September. It is made of human hair, not a full wig but covers the top. It is blonde with lowlights. Recently the bangs have begun to get a pinkish/orange hue to them.  Because it is only the bangs I'm wondering if its related to something I'm putting on my face.

I do use a neutrogena moisturizer, sometimes a Cover Girl foundation (but rarely on my forehead as its covered by the bangs).  My biggest suspect is an Urban Decay makeup setting spray that I was using a few times a week.

I've gone back to the salon where I got the hairpiece and they are just as stumped as I am, never having seen this happen before. Right now they're trying to figure out how to fix it.

Has this happened to any of you before? What caused it and what can be done about it?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Maybe your neutrogena moisturizer affect the bangs, but not sure. in fact you can make test to add some  neutrogena moisturizer on a part of your hair piece, to see whether its color change or not.
