Now that the AA is back, I noticed that I wasn't quite feeling at 100% like on a normal day for me, so went to the Dr today and he said my hormone levels had indeed changed so gave me a shot. Then we talked about the AA being so aggressive this time, and that he had been having some luck with a compound drug used to help reverse auto immune symptoms in patients with RA, MS and Chron's disease and thought that I would be a great candidate for it. Says it boost the immune system and helps to reverse some of the symptoms. He had it in his office, so gave me a 30 day supply of NALTREXONE also known as "low dose LDN". So am going to try this and see how it goes. He did also say he wanted me to continue to take the steroid injections since they worked so well the last time. He said that would help the hair to grow back, but the LDN would help to reverse the auto immune disease and in turn should keep the AA from coming back again. Worth a try anyway, and it is not an expensive drug as some of the hormone replacement drugs can be.

I have not heard of this treatment but after reading about it, it seems promising. Please keep us posted. You are fortunate to have found a Dr. that has taken an interest and is interested in investigating options!

Naltrexone without a prescription - https://qualitypillprovider.com I received the order and it was on time and the pills work great.

Yes, I love this Dr and started seeing him with the first AA flare up. He check's the hormone levels, and stays on top of my sugar and thyroid since there was so many in my family with these auto immune diseases. My sugar spikes however I am not a diabetic, only pre diabetic. I started the LDN 3 nights ago, and so far so good. I also read with some of the info online that patients that took this for MS/RA/Fibro also had improvement with their resteless leg syndrome, which I also have as well. I have slept very well the last 2 nights with taking the LDN and requip for the legs (which I plan to try and go without after a couple more days). The 1st night on LDN, I took the requip and also melatonin as I had been having trouble going to sleep. I woke with a headach which is rare for me. Have not taken the melatonin since, and no headache since either. So would advise not to take Melatonin with the LDN. I still have hair falling out each morning, but I must say the volume is less than it has been. I have only had one round of the steriod injections back on 4.26. The Dr wants me to continue them since they worked with the first active AA 2 years ago. I will keep all updated. Alice, let me know what your doc says about this LDN. It is a low dose drug and can be obtained only from a compound pharmacy which we have a couple in our area. The bio-identical hormones are also compounded, so it helped that the Dr has these type of compound drugs or easy access to get them. He is basically a specialist for the auto-immune, age management and pain management. Very intelligent and very informative, obviously loves the research and try's to lean towards more natural and holistic rememdy's. Thus the name of his practice "Healing Options".
Ciao
Is there compound pharmacy in Italy? The Dr.said that LDN will be life long in taking. Will continue to boost the immune system. I hope you can find there in Italy as there seems to be less volume of my hair falling out so far, after 4 nights of taking this medication. Also, I have not had to take the requip for restless legs the last couple of nights. I wil continue to update you on the progress on this discussion blog.
Yes, there are compound farmacies in Italy, but I think they still want a prescription ... Today I ask them ...
Good luck for your cure... :)
I asked in different pharmacies, they want the recipe for the mixture, say it is a drug! Even my doctor says this. I do not know how I'll ...
I will talk to one of the compound pharmacies here to see if they would be willing to send the recipe to a compound pharmacy there. Will probably need a name, phone number, address, etc...of the compound pharmacy you would want to use. Not sure we can make it work, but it is certainly worth a try. Sometimes people with compassion are willing to take an extra step to help others.
I continue to look here, I hope to find a pharmacy willing to prepare the compound without a prescription, I have not yet contacted all ... Thank you very much for your interest, you're really nice ... :)
Good luck! Let me know if you find something.
Have taken LDN for a week now and the last 3 mornings have found less and less hair is falling out now. Also, have not had to take my Restless Leg medicine the last 3 nights. Usually if I do not take it before 10:00 at night, my legs are dancing on the ceiling and very frustrating with spasms. I have not had them dancing at all and had read in my research that others using LDN noticed their Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS) had stopped, and they had not been using any other treatment at the time for the RLS. After reading these testimonies, I decided after 5 days I would stop taking the requip to see what would happen, so far so good. Also, I noticed that I have had no leg cramps in the legs and feet at night like I had been having. Nails appear to be stronger, but not sure if the dents are going away yet, but seem improved, so watching them closely for any noticable changes.
Update: Less hair each day is falling out, and my nails are shiny and look great. Also noticed the dry cuticles around the nails are not as dry and cracked as before. Feel great and sleeping great each night and waking up feeling refreshed now. Before starting the LDN I was loosing anywhere between 100 to 200 hairs a day. Looking like I was loosing the fight with my cat each morning. This morning was maybe 10 hairs or less. Nothing compared to a week ago. Steroid injections also helped with one round of injections so far, as I can see tiny white hairs in the treated spots. Can't see the untreated up close, and hubby only has one eye so doesn't see well enough to see anything. Next appointment with the Dermatologist is June 3, so will know then if there is any white hairs in the untreated areas. LDN was to boost the immune system to reverse the symptoms of AA so that the hair would not fall out, but not necessarily for regrowth, so will be interesting to see if there are hairs in the untreated areas as well.
