My Alopecia started last March. My hair has steadily gotten worse. After 8 months of toppers, wigs and hell I am going tomorrow to get hair bonded on. I am so apprehensive! Does anyone have experience with how it feels. Besides the great cost I am afraid that I wont like the feeling and will hate the fact that I cant have the feeling of freshly washed hair(even if its under a wig and not too much there). I dont know if I will ever get past the fact that the hair isnt mine. Funny thing is for the last 2 days-after I made the appt I have had almost no shedding and I am seeing regrowth but I dont know if I can wear a wig anymore-it makes my head itch and gives me a terrible headache everyday-I dont want to go out in public and dont enjoy anything anymore. Advice please.

I have been wearing a bonded on hair system for about a half a year, and it's been pretty great, It's very comfortable and looks great! I love having hair 24/7. It's really been a miracle in my life. Congratulations on taking this big step, I don't think you're going to regret it. You should be really excited. Let me know how it goes. If you have any futher quesions let me know. Good luck! p.s. there is no odor or anything like that.
I got the bonding done and I am not happy. It bubbles and is very hard to sleep. It wasnt custom made-but they said it would work. Does the bonding glue and tape hurt the existing hair follicles. I am so upset now-they shaved all the hair I did have off! my hair in the back was gone but I did have some to pull in a ponytail from the left side of my head so i could at least look at myself in the mirror-now if I take this off-I am completely bald! Any advise? I think I will just get a custom wig made and continue with my injections and laser treatments. Any advise would help.
My daughter uses lace wigs and attaches them with super tape. She wears them 3-4 days before changing them. She can shower and wash them while wearing them. She just adds more tape if they become loose. We get them through a chinese site that I found through here a while back. We pay about $400 for gorgeous long european hair. Shop around and be smart so that you do not get ripped off. I like the fact that she can remove them and check her scalp condition and wash under the wig a couple of times a week. She is at college and wears them 24/7 and changes them in the shower.
She gets them from Celebrity wigs right? I think I will order one-Im not happy with the bonding.
My bonding is custom, fits like a glove that really helps a lot. I have no bubbling or anything and it feels just like my own hair when I sleep.

I just had a piece bonded as well . waiting for the custom one, late arriving so have a temporary in the meantime.  I need to know what adhesive I can use to touch up?  Front has lifted a little and I'm not crazy about the adhesive they are using.  They are bonding over existing hair til my custom piece comes in.  Do you know what adhesive they use on you??  Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

We have been ordering through celebrity and I just got one from a Chinese site that was cheaper and good quality.

Karen, what is the Chinese site you ordered from?  The cost?  I will be interested to know how it holds up as well.  What kind of cap does it have?
And what is the chinese site that was still cheaper?
Can you remind me where she gets her wigs
My daughter uses a bonded hair piece and we go monthly for it to be removed and her head cleaned and new hair growth shaved. She hated it when she 1st got it. But now would not have it anyother way. It is a big change for you and nothing is better than your on hair. Give it time to get use to it and see how you feel. I have pics on my profile page of her hair and all the different styles shes done. Good Luck!!
Hey, Tanya...hello neighbor, I live where u do off Cty. Line Rd. Small world. Your daughter is beautiful. I am partial, but like her in the lighter color hair !! Was gonna ask if you go to Hair Therapy on Dale Mabry, but then read more...Virtuesse...I think they also do that somewhere on Dale Mabry/Fletcher area? Costly, but it looks great. Wish I could afford it, but cannot...so it is baseball caps, wigs, or my own straggly locks...
