I had a post a while earlier about wig choices. As i'm a student/totally broke and can't afford a vacuum or gripper wig i've decided to go with a full lace wig. From what i can gather you can swim with these, dance, get sporty. All things i love to do!!

Was wondering if anyone is currently wearing a full lace wig and does swim with it, dance vigourously?

Do you sleep in them? I saw some people are getting 2 or 3 days wear out of their glue so i'm guessing you wear it in bed (in both senses of the word ;)

Would love to know.

Thanks.

Also - after having alopecia for 2 years and really being on my own with it all it's so lovely to have this website everyone is so supportive and informative.

My daughter wears it like her hair and only changes it every 2-4 days. She cannot sleep without it on anymore. She also tumbles, dances, swims etc.
Thanks.
I'm just about to order mine and i'm really excited to have some normalcy in my life again. how long does her wig last usually? (before she gets a new one)
We keep 2-3 at a time that she wears but I think you will get 6 months out of them if you are sleeping in it and rough on it like she is. That is why I had to find an affordable solution.

If you swim with the wig it will certainly reduce the wigs lifespan.

I am sure you can sleep in the wig if adhesive is used to prevent wig from slipping.

wig should be done up in a low ponytail to stop tangling etc.

Best not too sleep with the wig though.

To extend the life of the wig just wear the wig when absolutely necessary.
