Hello, a week ago I discovered one dime size bald spot on my scalp. The doctor confirmed it’s alopica areata. I’ve been prescribed a steroid medication to use 2x a day. I’m wondering what everyone else’s experiences have been like.... do you think I’m likely to loose more hair? I’m age 27, very healthy otherwise. Just had my thyroid tested and results came back negative. I’ve been crying almost everyday because of the uncertainty.

Ayliza, I am sorry we both are experiencing this health condition.  With that said STOP crying that is only making matters worst.  Even though most research says stress isn’t cause?  We both need to relax and be healthy.  Read jokes - lighten your Dailey load if possible.  Below is where I am - although I am experiencing such rapid loss I may be bald in 4-6 weeks. Or not ? The uncertainty is crazy unsettling- you are so right!

i suffered from flu Jan 4 and was in bed for 1week and extreme fatigue for next 2 weeks. Finally started feeling better .... and bammm my hair falls out! So crazy....My timeline:

Alopecia Areatia Feb 9, 2018 I think 1 spot the size of large paper clip by same. Feb 19 the same spot is 2x bigger and bald an additional 6 or so quarter to 1/2 dollar...... Feb 26 2x all above.

Treatment topical and intralesional injections.  I have added vit d, 6000 iu and probiotic dailey-

Focus on positive... I am looking at other treatments too! We keep u posted.
