I am looking for some good advise from ladies on creating eyebrows.

About 2 years ago I shaved my head, as about 40% had fallen out due to Alopecia. About a year later I had lost all my hair and recently my eyebrows too. I still have my eye lashes (fingers crossed) and for the last few months, as my last eyebrow hair fell out, i have been using make-up to draw on my brows. Apparently, friends say this looks pretty good, and that they wouldn't know if I didn't tell them etc. etc.

But now that there is literally no hairs left, its getting harder and harder for the make-up to look real. As much as I want to be one of those people who march around without hair or eyebrows and face the world all confident and bald, in my day-to-day life, in my job, i need to have hair. I stand in front of clients and present, I can't have something like this distract those I works with from what I am doing or saying.

So.. I need to find a new eyebrow solution. Has anyone tried those real hair stick on eyebrows I've seen online? Any other solutions anyone knows about? I am thinking about getting bangs cut in one of my wigs to hide the brows a little... any advise? I could really use it!

Thanks,
Brittany

Hi Brittany, I have my eyebrows tattoed. I am a big baby when it comes to needles and injections... so if I can do it believe me anyone can. They put a gel on your eyebrow area that is an anaesethtic and that numbs you up nicely. The tattoo is not deep into your skin like a regualr tattoo so they are not going very deep so it isn't a painful procedure. I have had mine done twice. The first lady that did me used ink that was slightly too dark - it did look nice - but when it started to fade a little a year later the effect was slightly greyish... I had them redone a couple of weeks ago and they are perfect. So, I recommend tattoed eyebrows - do make sure that the person doing them uses 'warm' colours though so when it fades a little over time it just looks natural still. Good luck. xx

I use Stamp Me Fabulous. http://www.stampmefabulous.com/how_to_use_eyebrow.shtml

I first use a brow powder to map out the area and apply a fixative, like the one offered by Bald Girls Do Lunch (similar to SheLaq, but with a nice matte finish). When dry, I stamp over it, and then light brow powder on top.

I dance and sweat A LOT...and unless I have bangs rubbing against them, my brows stay put. And I can have different colors and shapes to suit my mood.

BEM I know the feeling I tried drawing my eyebrows on, which worked then, my next obstacle I work out. By the time I'm done sweating the eyebrows are gone! So I researched and found a lady here in Atlanta where I live to give me a permanent eyebrow. Its like tattooing. I love it!

My daughter has perm makeup eyebrows doe. They need to b retouched every year. Most Clents that get this done have eyebrows but just don't like the shape or they're sparse. Not painful. She kind of scratches them on. U can start out conservatively and then touch them up. Looks very natural. 400-500$. Of all places I would think NY has many options for this. Maybe a consult? We did that. I had to talk her into it a bit. On the other hand the falsies people mention look amazing also. We r in upstate NY.
