Anyone diagnosed with alopecia areata incognita/ diffuse alopecia areata?

While I'm not even entirely sure whether those two are the same, 

I'm asking for help because I want to clarify few things before going into my (distant) appointment for

further examination of my hair loss.

I've been experiencing diffuse hair loss (about 100 hair everyday when I wash and dry, so I guess I'd be losing about 150 hairs a day?) and because I have a history of alopecia areata (3 patches, once, and they are now gone) I'm suspecting that I have diffuse AA rather than FPHL or TE.

I know only doctors and some closer examination of scalp and hair will clarify things for me, 

but I'd like to know few things in advance to ease my mind, so...

1. Nearly every single hair that I shed have a bulb attached to it. Sometimes they are dark, and sometimes they are somewhat transparent or in between. I don't observe any exclamation point/club shaped hair that I used to see when I had patchy AA. Is it normal(?) for people with diffuse AA?

2. How many hairs did you lose each day? Also, is it like that I'm destined to go AU/AT if I have diffuse AA? I know prognosis varies, but it seems that information on rather slowly progressing diffuse AA is lacking in comparison with other forms of hair loss. 

I'd greatly appreciate if anyone can offer insight or tell me a little about your diffuse AA experience. Thanks in advance.

The problem with Alopecia is the unknown. Anyone that tell you exactly what the future holds for your hair is just blowing smoke. This is unfortunately a wait and see thing. If you start losing hair on other parts of your body then it can mean heading towards AU. When I saw my daughter losing hair on her legs and arms I knew in my heart is was going to be AU.  Again, it is a wait and see and lets hope it goes not further then diffused.

it is nearly impossible for me to notice body hair loss since I only have very thin, peach-fuzz like hairs on body areas other than pubic areas.

I'm still losing ~200 hairs daily, (I'd say 80~200) no noticeable patches, so...

Was your daughter going through diffuse AA as well before AU?
