This has probably been talked about before... but what do you do about your hair for the gym/working out? I have AA and I have a few spots that make it impossible to put my hair in a ponytail. I have enough to cover when its down, but I have a spot on the bottom of my hairline (on neck) and one over my right ear that just scream "look at me!" when its up.

I wore a bandana for vball this summer but its a pain to get on and to cover all the areas.

Are there work out hats or something I could try?

I also wear buffs to work out (I have universalis so no hair) and they are comfy and very good at absorbing sweat. I buy generic ones on ebay quite inexpensively and they are just as good as the expensive name brand ones!
Hi Aimee, try the fitted bandanas! They work great for working out!

Aimee, checkout my profile pics! I'm wearing bandana I that!

I've always just worm my wig...it's long enough to tie back in a low ponytail. However if you're playing contact sports you'd need something more secure if not using glue or tape.

I haven't tackled the gym yet!! I might just get myself an inexpensive wig and tie it up. I have been going for walks and wear a bandana and then my cap on top. Luckily so far I haven't bumped into anyone I know on my walks at the beach. Though I know when the weather heats up over here I will get hot. I might even try out the gym this weekend, at least I know it's cool inside the gym.

I wear old older wig to the gym to workout but I found that the sweat just pours out from under the wig when I do cardio (like Zumba) so I have to wear a band too so it'll absorb the sweat. I hate how frumpy it makes me look though. Any ideas on looking hip at the gym and still wear my wig? (I'm not one to go anywear public without a wig).

I have been a runner all my life and I always wear a bandana or running hat! They are real easy to wash when they get all sweaty! You have to feel comfortable enough to show your thinning hair or no hair at all! I have AU and it's just too darn hot to wear hair running!
I have read many of the comments about bandanas not staying on? I have never had a problem like that? The fitted ones that have a tie and flap in the back are best! You can get them at walmart real cheap! They are the biker bandanas!
