Hi all,
I have had AU for about 2 years. I recently have felt a mild tingling on my scalp in different places. It sort of feels like something is crawling on my scalp. Does anyone have a clue what this means? Or has anyone experienced this before?

how long have you had the tingling? i have always heard that the white hairs indicate that your hair is about to grow back? keep me posted!
The tingling is where your immune system is actually attacking the hair follicles in that area. Have you noticed that in those areas you may or may not have individual hairs or the beginnings of peach fuzz or stubble? Alopecia not only is an autoimmune disorder, it is an inflammatory condition as well, and the areas where you are losing hair actively are generally the areas that tend to tingle the most.

Hope that helps!
I have AU but i still feel tingling? Maybe my hair is trying to grow, but maybe my immune system is attacking the hair that is trying to grow? Thank you for taking the time to respond. It helped me to understand. Jenn
