Good Morning!

I wanted to hear of some positive experiences of what it was like when you all showed everyone that you had alopecia, What were their reactions like? How did you all feel while doing it? How did your friends who had no idea react?

I recently did a photo shoot after being inspired by a woman who has beat stage 4 cancer twice. Leaving alopecia month into cancer awareness, it feels like a very moving thing to do. Especially just turning 26, it's time for a change. I've hid behind wigs since 11 years old. I personally feel very beautiful and unique without my hair. With my hair, people believed I appear stuck up because I became shy from it as a child. So still, I get a little nervous when I think of what it will be like to release the photo. So, yes, positive stories because I do believe everyone is not mean and shallow but would like to hear some real stories about it.

I have been bald since about 2008, but I have had some spontaneous regrowth since 2009. I have been keeping track of my hair growth over the last year, and though sometimes it comes in and falls out, I have more now than ever since 2008. I honestly believe that my hair will grow back. I know that my hair fell out because I was under such emotional stress in 2006 that it took a huge toll on me. I have been keeping track of my hair growth over the last year, and though sometimes it comes in and falls out, I have more now than ever since 2008. I honestly believe that my hair will grow back. I know that my hair fell out because I was under such emotional stress in 2006 that it took a huge toll on me. There are plenty of days when I get down and I cry, but I do my best to keep my spirits up. It can get hard, especially because I recently lost a lot of my eyebrows on both sides. But it seems like, with me, when I lose one thing I grow something else - some eyelashes have started to come in, and I haven't had eyelashes since the end of 2008! Most importantly, I never give up believing that I will get better. I continue to try eating healthier, exercising, and doing things that reduce stress and make me happier. Something must be working! (see below for attached pictures)

I know that alopecia world often supports acceptance of the situation, which is absolutely great. I have accepted what has happened to me and I actually feel more beautiful now than I ever have, even when I had my hair. But for me, I will never stop believing that my hair will grow back the way it was. Keep up that positivity and never give up!
Making your dreams come truetag:alopeciaworld.com,2009-12-30:2022678:Topic:3935032009-12-30T18:07:26.569ZCheryl, Co-founderhttps://alopeciaworld.com/profile/cherylcarvery

I have a list of things that I should have done, but haven’t. And again, I come to the realization that if you really want something you are going to have to do what it takes to get it. Obviously easier said then done! But when and how do we take the bulls by the horn and reach our full potential?

A teenager asked me the other day, what were my dreams when I was younger. As if I had them at one time and like most adults… never attained them.

I have seen seniors obtain degrees, my 78-year-old mother is learning to drive, and More magazine that I read from time to time has an amazing sections, First after 40!

I know dreams change, but is there something that you really wanted to accomplish and still can?
