The hairloss really accelerated between September and December, which is were it started attacking all my body and facial hair.

My Alopecia started back in Feb 2020. First only a few small which were easy to cover, but unfortunately it evolved into full on AU at the end of the year. The hairloss really accelerated between September and December, which is were it started attacking all my body and facial hair.

Whats weird about this is that after all thousands of lost hair, which all went in a really small timespan, theres ONE single hair on my leg which remained. And it has been like that since late December. Every other hair gone, this one hair stayed. And it has been staying for 3 months now, which rally isnt logical to me since at the rate of which the rest of my hair fell out, surely this one single hair shouldve also been dead.

I dont know what, or if I can conclude anything from this. To me, it seems like my AA is inactive, or at the very least heavily slowed down. The thing is, right now im not under any kind of treatment because I have kinda given up on that. Also have not changed my diet. The only I did change was stop smoking weed pretty much everyday. I dont think there's any correlation but it did stress me out a lot and even made me a little depressed at times. I was supposed to participate in Concert Pharmaceuticals' CTP 543 trial, but its start in Germany was postponed for 6 months.

Now since I am in the believe that my AA is kinda remissive, I really want to start other treatments i havent given a go yet (like steroid shots) as well as diets. Im not sure about AIP - I think I wouldnt be able to follow through with that. I just love tomatoes too much, lol. But ive read people had success with intermittent fasting, so I might try that (as well as vitamin d)

Im interested to hear your thoughts on this, if you have any.

Stay healthy!
New and terrified- any advise on AIP diet?tag:alopeciaworld.com,2018-12-06:2022678:Topic:14351222018-12-06T21:34:25.525Zelmohalloumihttps://alopeciaworld.com/profile/elmohalloumi

Hey,

I found a spot 4 months ago. About the size of a coin- flash forward to now, that things massive on the back of my head. I 've got another spot growing on the top of my head, and I just checked and there's another 7 more spots acoss my head, in various sizes. I kinda wish I could shave my head.

The dermatologist has told me he sees a few hairs growing back a few weeks back, but it's hard to stay positive. I keep finding hair on my hand whenever I touch it. He's put me on some topical cream, and said we'll just have to wait. But the spots are still growing even with this minor hair growth, and now I've found out about this exclamation hia thing that mimics hair gowith, so I've no idea.

It's totally breaking my heart- I'm a primary school teacher and musician and I got a great support network, but it''s all I can think about. Everyone keeps telling me they can barely tell ( fortunate to have massive greek hair) but I've no idea what to do.
I quit smoking and am doing some research on AIP diet as some people have suggested benefits. Anyone here tried it/noticed any benefits?

Autoimmune Protocoltag:alopeciaworld.com,2018-07-05:2022678:Topic:14224022018-07-05T23:36:01.037ZCET1993https://alopeciaworld.com/profile/CET1993

Has anyone ever tried the Autoimmune Protocol diet? I was talking to a lady who had alopecia areata and reversed her hairloss and recovered all of her hair. She deleted any food that might promote inflammation. I have sort of tried it for a short time, but it's so difficult to follow. And the list of what not to eat is so overwhelming . Basically all you can eat is fruit vegetables chicken pork or beef which cant be cooked with anything other then olive oil coconut oil. And you can eat green vegetables like Brussels sprouts cabbage lettuce spinach kale asparagus. Nothing with preservatives or gluten or wheat . Can't eat tomatoes or any nightshade. Can eat onion , yams , or sweet potatoes.cant drink soda ( which sucks because I love my coca cola ) no sweets unless they are very low sugar , wheat, and gluten free. Can't eat peas or green beans , atleast not at first. It's like they basically want you to starve yourself. Idk it seems a little dangerous to me. What about weight loss ? Or people who have low blood sugar ? A diet like that may make them a little weak and woozy. The results seem promising. They say that most of your immune system is in the micro biome which is part of your stomach and intestinal track. But it seems like a lot of dedication. And it makes me wonder of hair is really softball of the trouble to deprive yourself of the things you enjoy.
