A few years ago a film was made by a Michigan college student about a girl who had alopecia and went to work in a wig store where she was befriended by a drag queen. I think the movie was called Beauty Queen? I was an extra for that film and I never got to see it. Do you know if there is there a way to see this film online?

So, I wanted to start this off by saying I am not trying to make you feel bad for me.

I have a hair disease called Alopecia. I was tormented about it and had a bad childhood where I was yelled at with drunk parents which kept me up almost every single night. I was teased and harassed all the time in school and never thought I would find a girlfriend. I finally did and dated her over a year. We had a beautiful daughter.
She cheated on me many times after that and I got full custody of my daughter. I wanted to make my daughters life better so I decided to pursue college because everyone always told me that was the way to success. I was working during the time doing 1-3 jobs and going to college. I got my Associates, Bachelors, and in two months I will have my Masters. None of these have gotten me any sort of advancement or helped me in any way. They put me over 150,000 USD in debt and I got screwd over by a company making false promises which put me close to 200,000. I was diagnosed 3 years ago with Severe Depression and Anxiety. I am not getting any money from the government because I want to make something out of myself and provide a good future for my daughter. We developed a card game but I don't have the funds to bring it to life.

I don't know what to do. I make about 12.-14 an hour and live in PA when rent alone is 2,000 for almost all places. How do you afford any other bills when you do not make it a month? I have applied to over 150 jobs (overqualified) was response.

Hello

I am going into my 7th year of living with this awful condition and although I am much better I still have my up and down days. I have a beautiful 10 year old daughter and she knows that something isn't right with my hair but has never seen me bald. I go to great lengths to hide it from everyone and quite frankly I am so tired and exhausted of living this constant lie. However, after watching the witches movie the other day she was absolutely horrified when the witches took off…

Just wondered how on earth you go about telling your children. I'm not ready but I know I'm running out of time as she constantly asks me if I have any hair.

Feeling rather demented at the moment and don't know what to do for the best? Any suggestions ? x x
Dyeing/bleaching hairtag:alopeciaworld.com,2019-05-10:2022678:Topic:14743782019-05-10T14:01:14.622ZAmanda Cobournhttps://alopeciaworld.com/profile/AmandaCobourn

Hello! I had just became a member on this site today. I’m looking to see if anyone has anymore information on dyeing/bleaching your hair when you have alopecia. I first got alopecia when i was 21, 5 years ago. I had 3 spots, 1 the size of a baseball on the back of my head and 2 smaller ones on the side. Luckily, my hair all grew back after receiving shots from my dermatologist. I found this 1 on the side of my head about 2 months ago and i am not seeing too much progress. But, i am looking…

Hi Fellow Follea gripper wearers, I posted a similar question under wigs, but just wondering what products you use to care for your piece? For several years I used a sulfate free shampoo and Revlon color care conditioner, on the Follea site they have a statement under care and maintenance that they do not recommend sulfate free or paraben free shampoo.....I asked them why but never got a response. I guess I’m just one of those people that want an explanation....lol but it’s bugging me,…

I used to have alopecia areata, but in the last year, it's turned universalis. I've lost all the hair on my head, eyebrows, arm/leg hair, etc. For the time being, I still have eye lashes.

I know this gets a little personal....

My doctor once asked if I had lost pubic hair. When I told her no, she said pubic hair (armpit and nether region hair) is on a different operating system and is rarely affected. I've been noticing lately that stuff is looking…

Hey, I'm new on this forum, so sorry if I'm recrudeseing this theme, but am I the only one believing that it's just better to have absolutely no hairs then to have a few creepy bald areas on head? I have the AA for 9 or 10 years right now and I hate myself. I would really rather like to have AT than AA because the AT looks just much more better.
