About Me:: I'm 26 & live in Texas. I have had alopecia since I was 24 and I am still learning to live with it. Now about me.... I live to tailgate!!! I believe it is a sport and one must go into training to be able to preform to a maximum drinking capcity. Also I love to go dancing with my girls. I believe Britney Spears is the greatest thing since sliced bread and no, you will never change my mind. I adore going to concerts & seeing local bands preform. I am also a summer girl! Get me in a lake & I'll find Party Cove. I try to enjoy every moment & surround myself with people who make my life more enjoyable. In the past I've put up with more than I should so now I expect nothing but the best. Above all I'm a girl who just wants to have fun! XOXO!

Well I Did It.

After reading what some of ya'll had said about your experinces with the first time you shaved your head, I decided to do it. On this past Friday after work I had an appoinment with one of my wig stylists to put my hair up in an up-do for a party I was going to. The Right Time.

So I have this delima.... I've had alopecia since October of 2005. That's a little more than two & a half years now. Mines AA and pretty bad. I'd say I have maybe 25% of my hair left. I keep it cut short & hide it under my wigs. This has made huge changes in my life. I haven't been swimming at a pool or to the lake in almost two years. My doctor is in Texas, I live in New Mexico now. How long did it take for you to loose most of your hair? I'm just wondering if I'm going down the same path. I heard some people dont loose all of their hair, but it seems like most people do and they shave off the rest. Are the websites and doctors lying or once you have AA, are you pretty much doomed to loose most of it? Thanks for any imput!
