Hi Mandie, Welcome to Alopecia World. You have a beautiful daughter and you will get through this..There are lots of great advice on this board. I have a 6 yr old girl with AA. I wanted to share with you that when my daughter was loosing she wore headbands that covered the whole top of her head and mid back part, kinda like scarf headbands and you can find them at Claires in the mall.Cindy
Hi Mandie, I wanted to welcome you to Alopecia World. I can honestly say that we are a great community here and I hope you enjoy the time you spend with us. Cheryl, co-founder
Mandie, I'd also like tell you about a few resources in Alopecia World that are for parents of children with alopecia. The first is the Children's Alopecia Project, which can give you invaluable insight into building and keeping your child's self-esteem high as she gets older. You can also receive group support from other Parents of Children with Hairloss and talk to Adults Who Have Grown Up With Alopecia. Finally, you are also encouraged to post blogs and contribute to forum discussions seeking feedback from all the members of Alopecia World. Of course, there are always discussions about treatment options here in Alopecia World.
Hi Mandie,
I wanted to stop by and say hello, and welcome you. I know it's hard to have children with alopecia -- sometimes the parents take it harder than the kids...
