About Me:: My name is Laura, I'm 14 years old, I'm a freshman. I was diagnosed with alopecia in 5th grade. I had slow hair loss until May 2008. Now I have several bald spots, but that doesn't keep me from doing what I have always done which is cheerleading. I am on my high school varsity squad and I also cheer for an all-star level 5 senior squad. I also enjoy hanging out with friends and having fun. I would love to talk to anyone about each others situations. :) My best friend also has alopecia!

Good news!

As of today, I went to my doctor at Vanderbilt hospital and He gave me new treatment and almost is postive it'll come back! I was super happy. It's something I take by mouth, but there are some side affects :/ sick to my stomach, bad head aches, moody, and shaking. I think it's worth it though.
