Hi I have a daughter Nicole who developed alopecia when she was 8, she is now 11, she copes amazingly well with her AA and is a constant source of inspiration to her father, brother and I. We look forward to meeting and talking to other people with AA.
Hey Sharon!
I use pencil eyeliner and liquid eyeliner
i use the pencil first
then i darken it with the liquid eyeliner
but i only use the liquid eyeliner on top
lol. i kno its a bit complicated , but it gets easier =]
Hi Sharon and Nicole,
Nicole your new hair looks gorgeous, I am so pleased you had a lovely time in Auckland yesterday. Nicky has done a wonderful job.
Take care and catch up again soon

Amber is doing great given that she is only five and really does not care much about her hair loss. She does not like to talk about though and the teachers and I have been encouraging her to be open and confident. I think that is the key really...to be confident.
She is at kinder this year and prep next year with the same group of girls. Infact she will be with these girls right through to year 12 so I am really making a effort to get the parents to be aware of Amber's condition and they have been really understanding and educating their children about it. It is rather nice and makes me feel a lot better.
How are Nicole's friends to her hairloss? She looks happy even without hair so I gather it is not such a problem for her. I can see it in her face that she has what it takes to handle this and you should be really proud.
how are you and Nicole? Yeah, we are on holidays for another week so next week is back to the same old routine again. I am so not looking forward to that. As for me, same as usual....although I am looking forward to the Alopecia Open day that we will be having on 11th Oct.
If you can Google sites in the USA, there are many on Bullying with the goal of protecting the victim. Try to read and print out these sites to help your daughter gain a language and confidence to answer to those who tease in life. Teacher Bogie
thats great! It takes awhile but she will be able to put it on in 2 secs and without a mirror before you know it. If she ever gets weird dents on her head after wearing it means that she is putting it on too far forward. I used to do that when i was younger! good luck with the hair cut!
