About Me:
Bonjour!
I have been dealing with AU since 2002. Before, I had aa. It started when I was 2 yo. Becoming AU was a traumatic event for me: I've lost all my hairs in 3 days.

I've tried everything, from standard to experimental therapy with no success; I'm not seeing any dermatologist since 2003.

My main reason for joining this network is to learn more on how to deal and cope with AU. After all these years, I have the feeling I'm in a dead-end in regard to this condition. I hope that by exchanging and reading about others experience, it will help me to get over it.

Going to the NAAF Conference in Louisville was THE best thing I ever did for me!! See my blog to know why ;-)

OK, now, I little more about myself, beside alopecia..... I'm 40 yo, happily married with the man I love since 15 years. Life has blessed us with 2 beautiful daughters. They are the joy of our life.

I'm a pharmacist by background but since April 2006, I'm a full time mom at home.

Voilà!
Diane

Louisville, Kentucky

Dear all, since this site is about diversity, below, you'll find my impressions about the NAAF conference, first in French, which is my first language and after in English. ************************************ Louisville, Kentucky. Continue

Bonjour Diane.

The new job is a little busy in the beginning. Lots to learn. I help painters and carpenters to choose right materials for their works. Its all new for me so its a lot to learn.

I work between 7 to 4. I think its pretty good works hours.

Sooo true about the computer and kids. You don't have a second with kids around.. Well in my case since Lauren is young enough to nap still I can sneak on to it. Otherwise when she is up she gets real clingy and whiny when I get on it..

I wish I could adopt another one but I am 44 yrs old now and the wait for China is now 5 years. Can you believe that ....5 years. I waited 2 yrs and that was enough for me.... Plus I don't have the energy that I had when I was in my 30's either....

What age were your daughters when you adopted them? Lauren was 14 months old. Right now we are wondering if there are bonding issues. She is so social and will go and ask for hugs from anyone. What were your daughters like?

Ohhhh my goodness! I never thought I would find someone on here who also adopted from China! Wow! Congratulations to you as well! You have two lovely daughters. They are just beautiful.... When did you adopt your daughters and what province did they come from? So many questions...LOL... Lauren is from Fuzhou in Jiangxi province. We flew into Beijing and then in Nanchang and that is where we received her.....

Bye
