I'm 28 and am happily married with two wonderful boys. I work as a door supervisor (bouncer) and I train in the art of Ishin Ryu Ju-jitsu.
I collect Tattoos and love motorbikes and UFC...Not really much of a girl really lol.
I also make unique kitsch jewellery which i sell online, i guess I am a bit girly.
About a month ago, I did a post asking if other people had the burning/itching sensation, and only two people answered and they said no. If you come across anyone else who has it, let me know. I wonder if our AA has a difference or something? My derm's medical books say that AA is not suppose to have any type of sensations, so he is perplexed.
I know how you feel. I used to just through my hair in a pony tail, seldom did anything with it unless it was a special occasion and I still missed it when it was gone. I also remember when I first started with alopecia and it finally all fell out. It was kind of a relief, I was no longer trying to hang onto strands. I like the fact that you said, you are not there yet, especially if that is where you want to go. I knew for 5 years that I wanted to eventually get to a place that I no longer wore a wig before I did.
Isn't this disease nuts! I mean I did not have anything stressful going on either when I got my first spot, so I hate it when people tell me AA is caused by stress. An employee at MD Andersen told me they can prove that AA is not caused by stress, but that the environment you are in can play a role.
These last 3 days I have had severe burning on the right side of my head. I just had a 3 day weekend and I am totally melo so I do not know what brought this on. It makes me so upset because I am just wondering what is happening-is it all going to fall out?
It is so great to know someone else who goes through this. Maybe one day it will stop for both of us.
Hey-I noticed that you mentioned that you AA itches-mine does too! IT drives me nuts and I feel like I am one of a few that has the itch in the spots. Mine burns really bad too-does yours? I looked at your picture, and ours is similar AA. What do you think brought it on in Feb?
