I live North West, I'm a kiwi been living here for 7 1/2 years but heading back to NZ in 7 weeks!!
Got my wig at trendco back in March, unfortunatly I didn't have a great experience. Was terribly jet lagged as had just had a 40 hour trip back from NZ (got off the plance and pretty much went to buy a wig), it was a friday afternoon and I didn't realise that you had to have an appointment. the lady agreed to see me but I dont think she was that happy about it. I was besidde myself in floods of tears and she just stood there, no sympathy whatsoever apart from to hand me a tissue!! Anyway, got the wig and took it to my hairdresser to have it cut, it was originally a side swept fringe and she cut it into a proper fringe. Really glad I did it, no one has any idea and suprisingly a fringe looks really good on me!! Do you have a good hairdresser you'd trust with it? The lady in the shop actually did trim it a bit but made a pretty terrible job of it so I had to get it cut really.
I'm getting a freedom wig when I get back to NZ, soooooo excited for it!!!
And that picture of you and the food is awesome! Was that in Rio?
But I am well, busy as heck and looking forward to a break. What are you up to this summer?
Roger.
Can I quickly ask what you normally use to tie your new hair back with? Up until now, in old hair life, I only ever used normal elastic hair bands (usually without the metal bit) but I'm worried that they would be a bit harsh on hair that doesn't grow. At the shop, they recommended those crocodile clip things but they remind me of the mid-nineties. I guess if they're the best for keeping the hair in good condition, I'd just need to go for it. Any advice/suggestions for alternatives?
Where did you go on holiday? Really wish I was away somewhere just now - June has nearly been one long wash out up here. When I'm off work at any rate.
Did you watch Andy Murray's game at Wimbledon last night? First time I've been sucked into the tennis in ages! Was a bit cringeworthy when he practically kissed his guns at the end but exciting nonetheless.
