Thank you Alopeciaworld

After reading the positive comments and support with my girlfriend, I couldn't help but cry. Lol I have not done that in a long long time. It felt like a secret weight was lifted and that it was alright to be vulnerable for once. Special thanks goes to Mandy, Carol and Steve, your comments meant a lot to me. I can believe I took this long to actually sign up here, geez could have saved myself a lot of self imposed grief.

A moment that stood out

I was watching my one of my brother's children while my brother was out. I was helping the little guy find some games on the internet to play. I sat down on the floor beside the computer desk and I forgot that I wasn't wearing a hat. Though I had spent time with his kids, this was the first time any of them had seen me without a hat. The little dude started laughing and said my head looked funny, but instead of being hurt or getting mad I started laughing too. I said, "Yah, it does look funny,… Continue

A couple of weeks into school, I asked my girlfriend to help shave my head. The hair cut was going fine until she scraped my head with the electric razor. It was then she first noticed a… Continue

Talking to their mother first is probably them most genius thing I've ever heard. LOL! Any mother would appreciate you respecting her role like that. Smart thinking.

I really think you'll find that MOST of them are! When you think to yourself that they don't accept you or are staring it sort of seems to be true, ya know? I know this is an emotional and difficult process, but trust me once you can accept it and find your confidence others will see that confidence in you and not give a rat's patootie whatcha look like. ;o) I know that probably sounds like a load of crap, but I'm serious. I guess it's kinda like with animals...they say that they can sense your fear. But if you approach it calmly and confidently it will be comfortable with you.
