Hi! im 13 and ive had alopecia since i was in 2nd grade.ive been blessed to have the life i have and not have lost all my hair. i only have patches and i am so thankful for that. i am a very nervous person. i am trying to gain confidence because one day i hope to be a country music recording artist. i taught myself how to play guitar. i have met many wonderful people online with alopecia and hopefully i can meet many more! feel free to talk to me any time you like =]

Caroline...You can read my discussion on my page about the book that I'm doing but I need you to have your mother look at it because I'd like you to be a part of it...Make sure you have your mother contact me if this is something that she wants for you and you both decide on...

I think you are very brave! I didn't find out I had alopecia areata until I was 30. I think it must be very difficult to be a teenager with alopecia. Just remember that your hair does not define who you are, it is what is inside that counts. I am sure you will be a wonderful country singer. Congrats on teaching yourself to play. I have a 9 and 7 year old who have guitars but cannot play yet.
